Total look trend

Una de las tendencias mas "curiosas" de este verano es el Total Look, o Look Total. ¿Es un acierto o una abominación? No existe quórum para dicha pregunta, como dicen las abuelas "para gustos los colores", ¿o no? / One of the most "bizarre" trends this summer, is the Total look or matching pieces trend. Is it right or a abomination? There is no quorum for the question, as the grandmothers say "for likes, the colors", or not?


Lo cierto, es que esta tendencia, vamos como casi todas, no es nueva, y se inspira en el antiguo look de chica de oficina, en el que combinaba traje de chaqueta con falda o pantalón a juego, como si fuera un uniforme. Y así lo han demostrado, en la versión fashion 2013 claro, diseñadores como Oscar de la Renta o Balmain. De hecho, lo que mas se esta viendo, en esta tendencia, son conjuntos de pantalón y chaqueta, incluso en la prensa y Street Styles. / The truth is that, this trend, as many, is not new, and is inspired in the old working girl look, where matching suite, no matter if it were pants or skirts, was a uniform. And designers such as Oscar de la Renta or Balmain had proved it, in the fashion 2013 version of course. In fact, what is more seen, of this trend, are total looks that consist in pants and jackets, even in the press and street styles.

Y en la calle... / And on the streets...




Para veamos como se lleva esta tendencia, ¿te parece? / Let's see how to wear this trend. 

1. Estampados. / Prints. 

Los estampados están muy de moda, los vemos en todo momento por la calle, en revistas de moda, en las tiendas. Los llevan modelos, bloggers y celebrities. Y se llevan de todo tipo: psicodelicos años 60; pinceladas de mano de artistas; estampado animal, ya un clásico; pájaros salidos de la famosa película de Hitchcock; y de camuflaje porque el militar sigue presente. / Prints are so in, we see them everywhere in the street, fashion magazine, stores. They are were by models, bloggers and celebrities. And all styles are suitable: psychedelic 60's; brush strokes by the hand of an artist; animal print, a classic already; birds that came from the popular Hitchcock movie; and camouflage because military still present.
Consejo: la misma tela, y estampado arriba y abajo. / Advice: the same fabric, and print on top and bottom.




2. El patrón blanco y negro se repite. / Black and white pattern come over and over again.

El patron blanco y negro es otra de las tendencias con mas fuerza de esta temporada. No solo las rayas en blanco y negro han causado furor este verano, sino cualquier patrón que combina ambos tonos. No podemos olvidar: el toque beetlejuice  esta demasiado extendido. / Black and white pattern is other of the strongest trends this season. Not only black and white stripes has cause frenzy this summer, but any pattern that mix both colors. We can forget: the beetlejuice touch is too widespread.
Consejo: las rayas horizontales (foto de abajo, por si tienes duda) engordan. / Advice: horizontal lines (on the picture adobe, just in case) make you look fatter.




3. No te quedas sin el vaquero. / Denim, you can live without it. 

El tejido denim es uno de los mas trendys de esta temporada, por eso acertaras si combinas distintas prendas del mismo tejido, logrando un total look denim; moderno, fashion y juvenil, ¿que mas quieres? / Denim is so in this season, therefore you will hot of you mix two garments of this fabric, getting a total denim look; modern, fashion and youthful, what else can you ask for? 
Consejo: si combinas dos tonos distintos, el estilismo quedara mucho mas chic. / Advice: if you mix different tones, the look will be more chic.




4. El clásico: hecho en casa. / The classic: make at home. 

Juega con el color. Consigue un total look con prendas del mismo tono, solo hace falta tu imaginación y tu armario; así de fácil! / Play with color. Get a total look with garments of the same tone, you just nice a bit of imagination and your wardrobe; that easy!
Consejo: Muchas veces lo mejor, esta muy cerca de nosotros pero no lo vemos. / Advice: Many times the best is just by our side but we don't see it.




Ellas también se suman. / They also go for it.
