Tutorial: funda para tijeras

Esta semana he hecho una funda para poder llevar mis tijeras de costura en la bolsa de labores. ¡Por fin!
This week I have made a scissors case to carry my scissors into my needlecraft bag. At last!

Necesitamos telas y entretela más bien gruesa.
We need some fabrics and a bit of thick interlining.

1- Imprimimos la plantilla y la dibujamos sobre las telas (en una colocándola del derecho y en la otra tela  del revés) y en la entretela. Podéis descargar la plantilla aquí.
1- Print the pattern and draw it on the fabrics (in one of them place it on the right side of the fabric and on the other on the back side) and on the interlining. You can download the pattern from here.

2- Pegamos la entretela con la plancha sobre una de las piezas de tela  si es de las que se pegan; si no, la cosemos en el paso siguiente.
2- The interlining that sticks with heat is very easy to use. If you use it, is the moment to put it with the iron. If not, sew it  on the next step.

3- Cosemos juntas las dos piezas de tela haciendo coincidir los derechos de la tela y dejando un hueco para darle la vuelta.
3- Sew the pieces together matching the right sides of the fabric and leaving an unstitched part to turn the inside out.


4- Para que no queden dobleces, hacemos unos pequeños cortes en el margen, especialmente en las curvas y los ángulos. Le damos la vuelta, planchamos bien los bordes y doblamos y volvemos a planchar como veis en las fotos.
4- To avoid folds, make some small cuts on the edge, specially in  the curves and  the angles. Then turn the inside out, iron very well the edges  and fold and  iron again as in the pictures.

5- Cosemos dejando la solapa delantera doblada hacia fuera y ya tenemos nuestra funda.
5- Sew leaving front flap folded outwards and we have our case.
