Valencia III. Comer y beber. / Valencia. Eat and drink.

Valencia tiene una oferta gastronómica estupenda. Nos gusta mucho salir, en gran parte por el buen clima que tenemos casi todo el año.
Valencia has lots of great places to eat. We like very much to go out, mainly because the weather is nice almost all the year round.
Mi paella / My paella
Por supuesto, es imprescindible para el visitante tomar una buena paella en un sitio típico. Yo optaría por alguno de los antiguos restaurantes de la playa, como La Pepica o L'Estimat.
Certainly, is indispensable for the visitor to eat a good paella in a typical reaturant. I would choose one of the traditional restaurants by the beach, as La Pepica or L'Estimat. 
Hay tres zonas de restaurantes especializados en comida de vanguardia: el Mercado de Colón, el barrio del Carmen y Cánovas. Mi preferido es Seu Xerea, me encanta su comida, el trato y el local.
There are three areas of restaurants specialized in avant-garde cuisine: the Mercado de Colon, the Carmen neighbourhood and Cánovas. My favorite is SeuXerea; I love their food, treatment and decoration.

En el barrio de Ruzafa, muy de moda últimamente, encontraréis restaurantes más "étnicos", sobre todo japoneses. Os aconsejo el Ramen Kuma,  sus ramen son estupendos (he viajado a Japón y puedo confirmarlo). Aunque si queréis experimentar, nuestro restaurante japonés preferido, que en realidad hace una cocina japo-mediterranea, es el Kamon, en el barrio de Cánovas.
Ruzafa neighbourhood has recently become fashionable. There you may find more "ethnic" restaurants, especially Japanese. I advise you Ramen Kuma, its ramen are marvellous (I have travelled to Japan and can confirm it). Though if you want to experiment, our favorite Japanese restaurant, which actually prepares japanese-mediterranean cuisine, is Kamon, in Cánovas neighbourhood. 
La ciudad está llena de encantadoras cafeterías. La Chocolatería Valor, en pleno centro, pertenece a la famosa casa alicantina de chocolate del mismo nombre y podéis tomar este dulce de todas las formas posibles: caliente, frío, líquido, en bombones, dulces,... Y la Horchatería Santa Catalina es muy típica, antigua y bonita. La horchata es una bebida tipica de Valencia.
The city is full of charming cafeterias. Chocolatería Valor, in the city center, belongs to the famous chocolate brand from Alicante and there you can have this sweet in many different ways: warm, cold, liquid, frozen, sweets... And the Horchatería Santa Catalina is very typical, old and nice. The horchata is a typical drink from Valencia.


En la zona universitaria hay tres sitios que me encantan: el Café de las Letras, un bar-cafetería que siempre cuenta con alguna exposición de artistas locales; Vera Bakery, una encantadora cafetería donde hacen unas tartas casera deliciosas y la Cervecería Cómic, donde podéis elegir entre cientos de marcas de cervezas y gran variedad de bocatas a muy buen precio.
At the university area there are three palces I love: Café de las Letras, a cafeteria that always has any local artists exhibition; Vera Bakery, a lovely cafeteria with delicious home made cakes and Cervecería Cómic, where you can choose between hundreds of different beers and a great variety of sandwiches at a very good price.

En cuanto a pubs, mi zona preferida es el barrio del Carmen, la zona más moderna y alternativa de la ciudad. Id haciendo la ronda de uno a otro, es lo típico.
As for pubs, my favorite area is the neighbourhood of Carmen, the most modern and alternative area of the city. The typical is to visit one after the other.
