Issue 186 - July 19, 2020 | Mind is the cause of bondage and liberation, and if one can master this mind, one can become not just a mastermind but the master Himself, says Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. In this series of talks, 'Master the Mind', primarily given to the ashram residents of Sathya Sai Grama, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai guides us step by step, to take up a 30 day sadhana to understand, analyse, master and finally merge the mind into the divine self. | INNER VIEW By Sri Madhusudan Naidu Time is under My control! Last year, as Swami was leaving the hotel in Mumbai after the Bhoomi Puja of yet another hospital in Navi Mumbai, He saw a lot of devotees waiting downstairs to offer their salutations. While they sang Arati and bid Him bye, the ever giving Swami started distributing Prasadam to all, which panicked the hosts who were afraid that it might delay Swami and the entourage for the flight that they were to take to Delhi. So a concerned volunteering devotee expressed his anxiety, "Swami kindly hurry as we might get late to the airport". Swami, who was smiling so far, suddenly wore a stern look and said with the authority of God, "Time is under My control, I am not controlled by time." And then continued doing what He was doing; smiling, consoling, blessing, assuring, gifting and guiding the devotees. Needless to say despite all the delays and the unexpected traffic jams, Swami was well in time for the flight. It's not too often that Swami says such things but when He does say, He roars. And when He uttered those words, time seemed to have stopped for me to treasure that timeless moment in the presence of Kaaladamanaaya, 'The ruler of time'. | Service during Lockdown in Greece | From March to May 2020, during times of lockdown due to coronavirus, the Greek devotees increased the number of visits to the homeless people at the port of Pireaus to three times/week, serving a total of 2,000 portions of food in two months. Sometimes the devotees cooked pasta at home and delivered it to the homeless. They also discovered that serving them small pizzas made the homeless particularly happy. In June, they served the same small pizzas to two children's homes, along with milk and medicine for about 100 children. | Finally, a meeting of Seva volunteers with supported families was organised. Although they have kept in touch with each other through messengers during the quarantine, everyone missed the face to face communication. This was a second meeting after the quarantine. Volunteers realised how strong their friends are and that they can withstand everything with honor and dignity even though it is not an easy time for them; they are strong in spirit! Everyone was in a happy and optimistic mood. | Helping Beings In Need, June 2020 Selfless Seva Trust Of Istanbul | Selfless Seva Trust of Istanbul, Turkey, has continued to do Seva activities between June 1, and July 5, 2020; many people were visited and provided with the following services: - 1,000 meals in Sisli Region
