Ganadores de los Critics' Choice Awards de la TV 2014

True Detective, Fargo o Breaking Bad, entre las grandes triunfadoras, mientras que Juego de Tronos no se come ni las sobras 
Los profesionales de la TV más reconocidos de USA, asociados en Broadcast Television Journalists Association, han escogido ya a los ganadores de la cita anual de los Critics' Choice Awards. Los nominados se anunciaron el pasado 29 de mayo y en esta cuarta gala era FX la que encabezaba la lista de nominaciones, con 19, seguida muy de cerca de HBO, que con Game of Thrones, The Normal Heart y True Detective, entre otras, acumulaba un total de 18 candidaturas. Por series, The Big Bang Theory, Fargo, The Good Wife, Masters of Sex y The Normal Heart partían como favoritas sumando cinco nominaciones cada una. La ya extinta Breaking Bad optaba también a alguno de los galardones con cuatro nominaciones.

La sorpresa la ha dado la actriz de Fargo, Allison Tolman, que se ha llevado el Premio a la Mejor Actriz de Reparto en una Miniserie superando a intérpretes de renombre en Hollywood como Kathy Bates, Ellen Burstyn y Julia Roberts. Asimismo, sus coprotagonistas Billy Bob Thornton y Martin Freeman competían por el dorado a Mejor Actor, que finalmente recayó merecidísimamente  en Bob Thornton. Fargo obtuvo el galardón a la Mejor Miniserie.
A pesar de su duración limitada, True Detective competía en la categoría de serie dramática y, como era de esperar, Matthew McConaughey se hizo con el reconocimiento al Mejor Actor. Tatiana Maslany, por su parte, se ganó el de Mejor Actriz por su papel en Orphan Black.
Previsible también el galardón concedido a Breaking Bad como la Mejor Serie Dramática, con la que Aaron Paul ha salido también victorioso al recibir el premio al Mejor Actor de Reparto en una Serie de Drama.

Orange is the New Black arrasó en la categoría de Comedia, arrebatando a sus contrinantes tres galardones. La serie de Netflix no sólo obtuvo el Premio a la Mejor Comedia, sino que también se hizo con el de Mejor a Actriz Secundaria gracias a la labor de Kate Mulgrew. Por su parte, Uzo Aduba ganó por su papel de Invitado en una Serie.
El resto de galardones fueron para Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) y Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep). Neil deGrasse Tyson ganó como Mejor Invitado en una Serie Reality por su gran trabajo en Cosmos, la cual también se llevó el Premio a la Mejor Serie Reality.
Otra de las grandes protagonistas de la noche fue The Normal Heart. La ficción de HBO obtuvo el galardón a Mejor Película y Matt Bomer el de Mejor Actor de Reparto en una Miniserie.
La que ha salido más perjudicada ha sido Juego de Tronos. Curioso que, en cambio, sea la serie más vista de la historia de HBO.
